I have created a very basic site using Powersite with an HTML datawindow DTC on a NT4 machine. This generates the following error when accessing it: ERROR: Creating Jaguar component 'DataWindow/HTMLGenerator', 'Exception thrown: org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: iiop://localhost:9000 - java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer in method CreateComponent of class jagcomp. Unable to find or create the required component with the given parameters: 'DataWindow/HTMLGenerator iiop://Ws02:9000 jagadmin '. Near line 614' ERROR: Could not connect to server component.

After closing down the Jaguar server and starting it again, the error disappears sometimes. 7 out of 10 times the problem however persists. Does anyone has an idea?

Larry, I have added%jaguar% html classes to the classpath. This did not solve the problem. So I downloaded EAS 3.0.1. And installed J CTS 3.0.1 build 30033, PB 7.0 build 7021, Dynamo 3.0.1 Build 694GA and Powersite 7.1. Powersite crashed when trying to see the properties of the HTML datawindow DTC. I re-installed Powersite 7.0.

The Jaguar Service complained about dbctrs6.dll, so I copied it to the system32. Now it says service started in the service manager but still generates error: ERROR: Creating Jaguar component 'DataWindow/HTMLGenerator', 'Exception thrown: org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: iiop://localhost:9000 - java.net.SocketException: Connection reset by peer in method CreateComponent of class jagcomp. Unable to find or create the required component with the given parameters: 'DataWindow/HTMLGenerator iiop://Ws02:9000 jagadmin *****'. Near line 614' Stopping the service and starting the jaguar server generates the following error: ERROR: On component call 'SetTrans' = 'Exception thrown: org.omg.CORBA.UNKNOWN: IDL:CTS/PBUserException:1.0 in method SetTrans of class DataWindow/_st_HTMLGenerator. ' ERROR: Retrieve Failed = -1 ***** Database transaction information not available. Call SetTrans or SetTransObject function. Stopping this server and starting the Jaguar DEBUG server generates initially both error messages (for the first person trying to retrieve data) but after retrieving data once, it all seems to works fine.

I did try the following however: I installed EAS 3.0 again (PB 7.0,5031: PS 7.0.0,289: CTS 3.0, 30025: PDyn 3.0.0,652) on a pretty clean NT4 sp4 machine, only running Oracle 7.3.4 I changed in powersite the jaguar service for the HTML datawindow DTC object. I added%JAGUAR% html classes to the classpath. Now I am getting the error: ERROR: SetDwObject('I:/ps7appl/adg/relaccs/rel_ps.pbl','d_stock') failed = -1 ERROR: DataWindow definition not set. Closing the Jaguar Service and restarting it as a program solved the problem. But I still wonder why it did not work on the first server I installed it on, the only main difference is the language, Dutch versus English? Secondly I noticed that EAS 3.0.1 is producing a totally different HTML output than EAS 3.0.0 Mathieu.

Hi, under the Windows Server 2012 product licensing model, there is no Enterprise edition. So maybe you've been told 'you can't buy that as of.'

, which is likely true, since Server 2008 also exits mainstream support status and enters extended support status in July 2013. But as Meinolf says, you can buy the current product license, and exercise your downgrade rights to a previous version, of equivalent edition. MS offer an upgrade-mapping and downgrade-mapping, whenever they change or retire an edition, so check the product roadmap for what you need to buy to be able to downgrade to your desired version/edition.
