Ever since I've plugged my new LCD with built in free view into my system I've not been able to record onto my PVR. (The LCD doesn't have a built in hardrive) It comes up with the error message of 'Low Signal Strength' when I try to record.

I've followed the suggested manufacturers connection set up & triple checked it. I've also recently introduced a signal booster to no avail. Main ariel to PVR to signal booster to TV. The PVR was working fine before with the old analogue TV. Any suggestions would be welcome as I'm down to my last few strands of hair. Click to expand. That should be aerial >signal booster >PVR >TV. However if the PVR was recording fine previously when connected directly to the aerial, something else has changed.

Check for damaged aerial cable. Use only quality flyleads (same as the cable used for the aerial downlead, with decent metal plugs fitted) instead of the thin type found in supermarkets etc. Edit: How many aerial sockets does the Digihome PVR have? If there are four (two in, two out) check they are connected as described in the Digihome manual, recording won't be possible otherwise.

Click to expand.Of course you do need a TV or some sort of display to see what you are doing on the PVR and display the results via it's Scart output in this case.

I was simply suggesting removing the RF output connection from the PVR in case this lead or the signal booster which the OP appears to have connected to it was faulty and imposing a heavy load on it. I'm assuming he is able to watch Live TV using the PVR OK as he states he gets a 'Low Signal Strength' message. It's conceivable that he is viewing live TV using the first tuner in the chain but the second tuner is the one being over-loaded.

Another possibility is that he is in fact receiving a low signal which requires the signal booster to be position in the feed to the PVR rather than following it as suggested by nvingo. Thankyou all for your advice/suggestions. NVINGO: I will be checking out for damaged cable & that the configuration is as described. It may have been an oversight when reconnecting, (something easily done with a screaming baby wanting your attention as well). Although wouldn't watching not be possible as well? CREDDISH: The main ariel has only ever been into the PVR & never the TV so shouldn't be affecting it I think.

The TV recieves freeview fine. The TV is only connected via a SCART lead. We watch freeview via the TV's built in channels. When we turn the PVR on we can watch freeview channels fine, watch previous library recordings fine but get problems when trying to record.

I'd thought it was maybe just the weaker signal channels that it was maybe affecting but the full strength signal channels come back with the same problem. I'd never considered that the PVR could be using the 2 tuners alternately 1 for viewing & 1 for recording. Ответы По Биологии 7 Класс Рабочая Тетрадь Сонин Онлайн. I've tried placing the signal booster first in the chain, even though the instructions suggest after the PVR, either methods have been without success. Again thankyou all very much for taking the time to reply, I'm off for a fiddle so to speak regards David.
