Free Download Windows Lenovo Xp 7 Style Sp3. I get a bluescreen when installing drivers for HASP SRM (Copyright protection USB dongle). The crash occurs always. I have repeated the crash on a XP, and Windows 2000 guests.
Test instructions: • Start the guest OS (in this case XP) • When guest OS is up running, fetch the latest driver from Aladdin from • Unzip the file, and run 'HASP SRM Run-time GUI Installation' Expected results: • The installation of the drivers should ends successfully. Actual results: • During the istallation of the drivers, VirtualBox crashes. Sorry for the bad formatting above.
I'll repost the description beneath: crashes when installing drivers for HASP SRM (Copyright protection USB dongle). The crash occurs always. I have repeated the crash on a XP, and Windows 2000 guests. Test instructions: ============ 1) Start the guest OS (in this case Windows XP) 2) When guest OS is up running, fetch the latest driver from Aladdin at: 3) Unzip the file, and run 'HASP SRM Run-time GUI Installation' Expected results: ============ The installation of the drivers should end successfully. Aladdin HASP HL Key. Aladdin HASP Key. Aladdin USB Key. Install EmbroideryStudio/DecoStudio e1.5. Plug dongle/dongles1 when instructed. Enable and configure firewall /anti-virus. Add c: windows system32 hasplms.exe to exception list. 'Unable to access HASP SRM Run-Time Environment (H0033)'.
I can confirm similar issues with 2.1.4. And the last couple 2. I have two XP software programs, one that relies on the dongle and one that is related but does not require the dongle. Trying to install the Aladdin drivers, was problematic to say the least, but I did manage to get one of the three available versions installed. No matter though, I typically get either a BSOD or a VM crash when trying to run either program. It does run fine on a normal XP machine, just not the Virtualbox VM. The problem seems to be occurring when the progs are loading, right around the point where they might be checking for the USB dongle.
I have p4 proc with HT, no duo-core, and no vt-x available either. This issue might be a deal-breaker for me as I have to support my end-users and without this capability I'll need to get a second box. I'm on Ubuntu Ibex 8.10 running XP SP3 on the VM. I've attached one of the logs from Virtualbox.
I can re-create this VERY consistently, so let me know how I can help. Clip Studio Paint Serial Number Generator. Same crashes with Aladdin HASP dongle. Several versions VBox2.1.4 down to 2.x.
With XP SP3 as guest OS. BSOD as soon as HASP dongle is accessed by software, e.g. Diagnostix from Aladdin or commercial software. Seems to be a problem of the virtual USB controller (USB and USB 2.0), because on the host computer (not with Linux, but with Win XP) we have no problems.
A document (HASPUserSetup_readme.txt) from Aladdin found on the Web describes: 'Some USB controllers cause Microsoft platforms to hang or display a Blue Screen. This problem is not related to Aladdin drivers.' This is extremly negative, because we use software encapsulated in several VBox machines, one of them with Aladdin dongle and we m u s t resolve this problem soon! Seems to be accepted as major problem since VBox version 1.6.4 (see above) and not solved until now!!! I just installed 3.2.0 beta. I fired up my VM from 2009-08-06, the same one that was crashing. I did not change any settings.
I was able to install the hasp_com_windows.dll and tlb files 3 times without any problems. This issue appears to be fixed for me.
Hopefully someone else with the same issue can test VB 3.2.0.beta and see if it works for them. Replying to: I have the same problem (crash - either reboot, hard crash, or blue screen depending on whether or not the hasp_com_windows.dll and tlb files exist in windows system32 and whether or not I have USB enabled). 3.04 This does not crash on Windows Hyper-V and does not crash on VMWare. However all is not won.
Windows VirtualPC crashes hard just like.
